Anticipated Time Commitments:
Regular Ministry – on average 10 hours a week from January to April and September to December. This time is for doing and preparing for ministry. Sundays 8:30am – 12:30pm + events when planned.
Summer Season (Kids Camp Ministry) – 20 hours per week from May to August, including daily from 12:30pm – 5:30pm Mon-Fri for camp week.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Direct the Sunday morning Children’s ministries by enlisting and training teachers, ordering and distributing curriculum, providing resources, and ensuring good communication and planning.
Participate in staff meetings and leadership development as required.
Design and coordinate special events and training for children and families.
Co-ordinate with Church Staff to ensure good facilitation of ministry.
Review the curriculum packages used and adjust if/as needed.
Work within the parameters of the church's budget, constitution, and policies.
Support the mission and the spirit of the church to Connect with God, His Word, His Church, His Mission.
Pray for God to be working in the lives of children and their families.
Participate in outreach & ministry to children and their families.
Provide encouragement and spiritual direction to children and their families.
Applicants will need to:
Provide a Clear Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Search.
Complete RHBC Child Safety screening and training.
Compensation:
Jan – Apr & Sep – Dec
10 hrs weekly
Average of 40 hours / month
Hourly rate of $ 25 / hour
= $1,000 / month + Vacation (4%)
May – Aug
20 hrs weekly
Average of 80 hours / month
Hourly rate of $ 25 / hour
= $2,000 / month + Vacation (4%)
