"Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.’" — John 20:21
There is something beautiful about watching a vision come to life. Like a portrait slowly emerging from scattered puzzle pieces, this year's Overflowing events came together one piece at a time. As each piece found its place, a larger picture emerged: what it means to truly Live Sent.
From British Columbia to Quebec, women gathered to be equipped, encouraged, challenged, and inspired to embrace Christ's invitation to join His mission. Together, they explored what it looks like to carry the hope of the Gospel into their homes, workplaces, communities, and beyond.
Our journey began in Quebec, where women gathered in Montreal for the region's first-ever women's evangelism training event—a significant milestone for CNBC Women in the province. Set within a warm and welcoming brunch atmosphere, the gathering fostered meaningful fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth. It was a joy to witness women engaging deeply with God's mission and encouraging one another in their faith.
Soon afterward, Overflowing expanded across the country as British Columbia and Ontario hosted simultaneous events, reflecting the growing momentum of women eager to live on mission. In Coquitlam, women learned practical ways to share their faith and identify tangible next steps in obedience to Christ. Across Ontario, women were similarly equipped through biblical teaching, testimonies, and hands-on training designed to strengthen their confidence in sharing the Gospel.
Alberta's event became another highlight for the region. More than 80 women responded to the challenge of considering how God was calling them to live sent, and we celebrated as two women placed their faith in Christ. What a powerful reminder that God can use any setting—even an evangelism training conference—to draw people to Himself.
Meanwhile, Saskatchewan embraced a unique retreat-style format. Over three days and two nights, women gathered for worship, teaching, fellowship, prayer, and encouragement. Deep friendships were formed, hearts were challenged, and participants returned home with renewed vision and passion for reaching their communities with the love of Christ.
Across all regions, more than 900 women participated in Overflowing this year. These women represent mothers, grandmothers, daughters, nieces, sisters, and friends who choose to live not merely for themselves but for the Kingdom of God. When a woman is discipled and equipped for mission, families, churches, and communities are often transformed through her influence. What a testimony to God's faithfulness and to the growing desire among women across Canada to actively engage in His mission.
One of the most encouraging aspects of Overflowing 2026 was witnessing the fruit of collaborative ministry. Planning teams invested countless hours of prayer, preparation, and service, pursuing the vision with joy and perseverance. Their collective efforts helped create environments where women were empowered to flourish in their God-given calling and embrace Christ's invitation to Live Sent wherever He has placed them.
This movement would not have been possible without remarkable partnerships. We are grateful for the women of Made For More Ministries who travelled all the way from Tennessee and Texas and came alongside us. Thank you to the International Mission Board, North American Mission Board, Canadian Baptist Theological Seminary & College, and D.K. & Brenda Hale Ministries. Your partnership helped make this year's events possible.
Another valued partner this year was Send Relief. Through workshops and conversations, women explored practical ministry opportunities among refugees and newcomers through English-language programs, community engagement, and compassionate outreach. These sessions challenged us to look beyond ourselves and consider how God may be calling us to serve those arriving in our communities from around the world.
One particularly encouraging outcome was seeing younger women respond to these opportunities. One graduating high school student is currently exploring how she might invest her gap year serving alongside the Send Relief team in Hamilton. It is exciting to watch the next generation embrace God's call and seek practical ways to Live Sent.
As we reflect on this year's Overflowing events, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Thank you to every volunteer, speaker, breakout facilitator, prayer partner, church leader, and ministry teams who invested time, energy, resources, and gifts to create environments where women could encounter Jesus more deeply and respond to His call.
As we look ahead, the journey continues. Women are already exploring next steps through local outreach initiatives, Ignite Grants, church-based ministries, discipleship opportunities, and preparations for our upcoming Africa mission trip in June 2027. Recently, more than 30 women attended an information session to learn how they can pray, give, or go as part of this exciting international mission opportunity.
Another highlight this year was our emphasis on the Great Commission Offering (GCO). Overflowing provided an opportunity to raise awareness and invite women to participate in God's mission through generous giving. We praise God for the response of $2,355, which will help advance Gospel work both here in Canada and around the world.
While Overflowing 2026 has concluded, the mission continues. The Father sent His Son. Jesus now sends us.
May we continue to Live Sent—across our streets, across our cities, across Canada, and to the nations—for His glory. Until every woman has heard, every church is engaged, and every community has been touched by the hope of the Gospel, we will continue living sent!
