Disciple Making
Jesus' great commission is to make disciples of all nations. Disciple-Making requires both evangelism (declaring the Gospel) and discipleship (training followers of Christ to observe all that Jesus commanded). The CNBC is committed to seeing a disciple-making movement flourish across Canada and around the world.
To help your church actively participate in this movement, we have developed the following key disciple-making elements.
D5 is the foundational element that shapes disciples who make disciples—multiplying their lives in obedience to Christ. It calls believers to live out the Five Ds:
· Devoted to God through prayer and obedience to His Word
· Direct their lives toward lostness
· Develop relationships with those who are far from God
· Declare the Gospel as God opens doors
· Disciple those who respond in faith
D4 is an element designed to help believers declare the Gospel with clarity and confidence, equipping God's people to do the work of the evangelist. It includes a D4 shirt that serves as a natural icebreaker, prompting Gospel conversations. When asked about the shirt, the wearer is equipped to share the message of salvation through the Four Ds of the Gospel: Design, Downfall, Delivered, Decide. Each shirt also features a QR code linking to a video Gospel presentation, further supporting Gospel proclamation.
A52 is a practical challenge that puts D5 and D4 into action. It encourages believers to intentionally sow a Gospel seed at least once a week for 52 weeks, building a lifestyle of faithful Gospel witness.
Just as individual elements combine to form a powerful compound, bringing D5, D4, and A52 together can ignite a disciple-making movement within your church.
