Discipleship and Family Minister

As we continue planting Cornerstone Church in Okotoks, we desire to strengthen areas of

ministry that directly connect with the needs of our community. Our mission is to connect,

equip, and send people to see lives transformed with Jesus as their Cornerstone.

At this stage of our church’s development, the Lord has provided a planting pastor whose

primary strengths are in preaching/teaching, outreach, and administration. To complement

these strengths, we are seeking a part-time individual who will focus on discipleship and

families.

The type of leader we’re looking for

This role is best suited for an outgoing, relational self-starter with a heart for personal

discipleship. They should be eager to invest in others, mentor future leaders, and help develop

sustainable ministries that grow alongside the church.

Position Snapshot

●Title: Discipleship and Family Minister

●Hours: 20 hours/week, with potential to increase to 40 hours/week for 8 weeks in

summer

●Compensation: $24,000-30,000 yearly dependent on experience + mileage

reimbursement while working

●Term: 1-year position, renewable with potential for long-term specialization as the

church grows

●Formal Reviews: 3 months for probation period, 6 months, and 1 year
