Celebrating Ignite 2025

Updated: 1 day ago

A Movement of Women Reaching Women

Women are reaching women with the gospel and that’s what CNBC Women’s Ignite initiative is all about. As we look back on 2025, we celebrate a record number of Cooperative Program giving CNBC churches that, with the support of an Ignite grant, hosted outreach events for women.

In nearly 50 CNBC churches, women with a passion for Jesus organized meals, events, craft nights, games and more. All with a desire to invite women and share the love of Jesus in their circle of influence. One of the most utilized tools was personal testimony and conversation. It has been so great to learn how women’s stories of healing, resilience, and renewed hope and love have become a bridge for the gospel. Here are some glimpses of what happened at Ignite events across the country in 2025:

The ladies from Filipino Canadian Baptist Church in Saskatchewan hosted an Ignite event in December, and twelve women who did not know Jesus joined them. The gospel was shared, and the church ladies invited their guests into further conversations and Bible Study. Two women surrendered their lives to Jesus at the following Bible Study. Praise the Lord!

New Song Community Church, a four-year old church plant in Langley, BC reported the following: “We rented a pottery shop and had about twenty ladies, many new att

endees/friends of members. We had meaningful questions at our table. I sat at a table with a woman who is from a Muslim background but has been exploring Jesus since coming to Canada and hearing of how God is drawing her to himself. Many other tables were having good conversations and fun as well.”

Eighteen women attended Life's Journey Baptist Church Ignite event in Edmonton AB, of which four were visitors. They shared: "Everyone had so much fun. The gospel was shared through worship songs, a message, a life testimony and casual conversations. Our activities included games, Christmas wreath-making, and Zumba. The lady who shared her life testimony was a visitor at last year's Ignite event. Rhea is now a member of Life’s Journey Baptist Church and decided to be baptized last month! We are so blessed to have her join our group. To God be all the glory."

Surrey Chinese Baptist Church hosted a Hot Pot Dinner Outreach. “We shared stories over a meal of traditional Chinese hot pot, a personal testimony of hope & God’s transformative power was presented, time for testimony response was offered, and we even played a fun game with prizes to end the evening. We had a total of 17 ladies, of which 5 are unbelievers. It truly was a sweet time together and beautiful memories were created!”

What a joy for CNBC Women to be part of God’s movement through the women in local churches. Something happens when women share their journeys—stories of redemption, love, transformation and hope. God opened doors to meaningful conversations and opportunities to build genuine relationships. We continue to pray for life-changing encounters with Jesus!

CNBC Women loves to come alongside local churches to resource them as they empower women to do what God has called them to do, and we are excited to be offering Ignite Grants again in 2026 to Cooperative Program contributing churches.

Ignite Grant applications will open in the summer. Stay tuned!
