Job Title
Youth Ministry Coordinator
Job Description
To lead youth fellowship and Sunday school (including leading systematic Bible study)
To provide support to youth in their personal lives and beliefs
To develop future leaders in Youth Ministry
To attend every Sunday service
To attend Wednesday night church prayer meeting (as would a church member)
And other related duties as assigned
Responsibilities
Carry out assigned responsibilities in the Youth ministries at the Surrey Chinese Baptist Church.
Accountable to and working closely with the Church Council with respect to the Youth ministries.
Lead the church in the assigned areas to obey the Great Commandments (Mt. 22:37-38) and the Great Commission (Mt. 28:19-20).
As an active member of church leadership, also work with the pastors, the Moderator, and the Church Council for the operations of the church, where requested.
Embrace the established mission and purpose of the church and participate in implementing it.
Submit to the Baptist polity of decision-making by the church membership.
Qualification/Requirement:
Must be a Christian
Minimum two-year youth ministry experience
Able to relate to current challenges and needs of young people
Must be fluent in English and preferably be able to converse in both Mandarin and Chinese
Possess qualifications of 1Tim.3: 1-10; Titus 1:6-9; and 1Pet.5: 1-3.
Understand and agree with the Baptist Faith and Message (http://www.ccsb.ca/national- ministries/statement-of-faith) and the Constitution and Bylaws of our church.

Competence in spiritual leadership,
Competence in teaching,
Passion in evangelism,
Passion in loving people.
Covenant:
Can start as early as February 2024
Review after one year with possible extension.
