\par High school, college and seminary students desire to participate in relevant ministry roles that assist local CNBC and Southern Baptist churches while being developed in the areas of missions and Christian service. The goal is to:
\par
\par \bullet Lead students to discover future areas of service as they learn from experienced ministry leaders;
\par \bullet Lead students to develop their relationship with God as He uses them to meet the spiritual and physical needs of others;
\par \bullet Lead students to deploy on a mission for Christ that will take them into new cultures to experience missions and the missional living firsthand; and,
\par \bullet Assist local churches, campus ministries, and NAMB missionaries in mission needs related to church planting and evangelism that utilizes the skills, creativity, and passions of students.

\par The following key points contribute to a successful missions experience for the field and the students.
\par
\par \bullet The Project Request Form should be completed by the local supervisor.
\par \bullet Student missionary activities must support and assist local Canadian National Baptist Convention churches or church plants.
\par \bullet Careful attention should be given to pre-planning the mission activities. This includes housing arrangements, food, and ministry activities.
\par \bullet Be creative in the use of students! They will thrive and your church/organization will benefit.

\par Step 5: The Missionary Mobilization Team reviews the request and posts the project. If no
 student has been pre-enlisted by the local ministry site, then the Missionary Mobilization Team will work to enlist students. If students have already been recruited for the project, then the request will be logged and matched with the requested student

\par Note: The request form is significantly changed fr

\par }{\rtlch\fcs1 \ab\af1\afs20 \ltrch\fcs0 \b\f1\fs20\insrsid4479890 Some things to consider:}{\rtlch\fcs1 \af1\afs20 \ltrch\fcs0 \f1\fs20\insrsid4479890
\par
\par NAMB strives to recruit as many students as possible but every year there are more requests than they are able to fill. So we encourage you to seek partnerships and to establish relationships with campus min
istries and churches so you can have a part in recruiting students.
\par
\par If you request and receive a summer missionary, these are your responsibilities in hosting the missionary:
\par \bullet  Food & housing/utilities
\par \bullet  Operation/program budget
\par \bullet Transportation on the field
\par \bullet  Supervision, orientation, & debriefing
\par
\par If you can not cover the above expenses, then in your application request, you must list the dollar amount that the student must bring with them to cover those expenses.
\par
\par Remember student missionaries are n
ot only giving of their time, but are also giving up a summer where they could be working. If you ask student missionaries to provide significant funds on top of this, there will be fewer students who will be able to consider your request.
\par
\par }{\rtlch\fcs1 \ab\af1\afs20 \ltrch\fcs0 \b\f1\fs20\insrsid4479890 Dates of Service}{\rtlch\fcs1 \af1\afs20 \ltrch\fcs0 \f1\fs20\insrsid4479890
\par There are more students available for a 4 to 5 week commitment than for longer commitments. Remember, that most American students have to be back to their universities by the middle of August. So, if you put your ending date at August 20th, the majorit
y of students will just pass your request by and not even consider it. We suggest you set the ending date by August 2nd or 3rd.
\par NOTE: NAMB will cover travel (flight) expenses to and from the field, for students who serve 31 days or longer. So you are much more likely to receive a missionary if you will host them at least 31 days.
