Prayer:
Spend time in prayer with others who have a heart for reaching and discipling women in your church and community to discover where God is already at work.
Share:
Your vision needs to be shared with your pastor or other church staff.
Formulate Purpose Statement:
This must support the overall purpose of your church and be the plumb line for each activity you propose.
Assess needs:
Survey or interview women to find out what their needs are and how they would like to become involved inpersonal enrichment evangelism and missions.
Determine priorities:
Using your assessment as a guide decide what to include as you begin your ministry. Start small and continue to grow and build your ministry as needs change.
Promote and Publicize:
Make sure women know what you are offering by publicizing in church bulletins, direct mail flyer or brochure public announcements and phone contacts.
Launch Ministry:
Plan a special event to kick off the ministry.
Evaluate:
Continue to assess and evaluate all aspects of the ministry. Variety and flexibility are key issues in keeping the ministry fresh and vital for the women in your church and community.
