  • On a World Changers Community Project, students from middle school to college are exposed to an exciting blend of community ministries and construction opportunities as they reach out in love to a city. Hundreds of children, youth, and adults will be touched through relationship ministries in urban settings.   This multi-faceted approach allows youth to serve in a variety of ways, demonstrating that they can be used by the Lord to meet many critical needs in North America. Students who have completed the sixth grade through college are eligible to participate. This week-long activity comprises, usually, a number of local projects carried out by teams of youth volunteers which are supervised by a Crew Chief under the overall direction of a Construction Coordinator.  Teams comprise between 5 and 10 youth working with a Crew Chief with each team being allocated a specific job of work.  Obviously, each Crew Chief will have expertise in the area of work for which he or she is responsible.   The customary fee for Canadian World Changer groups is $310/person; however, NAMB has agreed to charge only $260/person for Canadian groups registering for Canadian projects.  Construction volunteers who come with a group from a localized area or district, e.g. Halifax area, and are accepted by the Construction Coordinator as a Crew Chief of Construction Supervisor will not pay the registration fee at all.  The fee covers the cost of housing and feeding the entire team and there is no other assessment made. There is a possibility is that a first-time Canadian World Changers group may be able to obtain a $100/person scholarship from NAMB, up to a total of $1,000 off of the total registration bill.  Each group leader would need to call Ruth Burkhead at NAMB to address that possibility.  Should you have any further questions about World Changers, you are directed to the World Changers website at www.world-changers.net for information and registration for the projects.  You may also view the World Changers Promotion video on that web site.  You may also contact:Bill Kagay, National Missionary, World Changers & PowerPlant; ph: 423-842-8974; e-mail; wkagay@namb.net
