Volunteer Mission Projects
from the Canadians On Mission Offering
Qualifications and Restrictions
- Applications will only be accepted from churches and churchplants who cooperate with the Canadian National Baptist Convention (CNBC) and are in agreement with the CNBC purpose.
- Applications will not be considered until a church is giving 10% to the Cooperative Program or displays a pattern of increased giving to the Cooperative Program.
- Mission Team Members must be members of one of our CNBC churches. The number of Mission Team Members may vary.
- No grant will exceed $800 per individual (maximum of $2000 per church)
- The fund will not cover more than 1/4 ( 25%) of the total costs for the Mission Trip.
- Funds will not be used as salary or as an end of the mission trip stipend.
Examples of what the fund could possibly cover: transportation to and from place of service; food, transportation, housing on the field; etc.
Priority will be given:
- to those who have not received money previously
- to projects that will expand ministry and evidence potential for growth
- to growing churches
- to those churches who support the CNBC mission endeavours through the Cooperative Program and Canadians-On-Mission Offering (CMO).
Order of preference
- Mission Team who will be serving in Canada, helping one of our CNBC churches or churchplants
- Mission team serving outside of Canada helping one of our CNBC appointed missionaries;
- Mission Team, who will be serving outside of Canada, helping one of our NAMB or IMB related churches, missionaries, or ministries
