What is a Mission Service Corp missionary?
A Mission Service Corp missionary is someone who is commissioned by
the North American Mission Board (NAMB) to serve 20+ hours/ week
for two years or more in the areas of START, SHARE, or SEND.
MSC missionaries are self funded (raise/ provide their own support).

If you already have a place of service in Canada, ensure the local pastor/ leader has sent in a
Position Request Form to NAMB Canada Region - Mobilization (more info below)
Step 3: Download and complete MSC Application Form available at AnswerTheCall.net.
Step 4: Email completed Application Form with photos directly to North American Missions Board

NOTE: NAMB communicates closely with CNBC & NAMB Canada offices
Step 5: Call your references to let them know NAMB will be contacting them & ask for their quick reply
NOTE: If an MSC application is delayed, it is most often due to slow responses by references.
Step 6: Plan to attend the next possible Support Development Training.

Step 7: If you are coming from outside Canada (including United States), apply now for your passport.
Note: The expected processing time of an MSC application for service in Canada is 6-8 weeks
once CNBC/NAMB have received the MSC Application Form from the applicant and the Position
Request Form (see below) from the field. This timeline is contigent on references responding in
a quick and timely manner.
How do we request a Mission Service Corp missionary?
Step 1: To ensure that the position you are seeking to fill fits requirements, go to AnswerTheCall.net
and click on "Mission Service Corps"
Email If position/ individual does not appear to meet requirements or
if alternate avenues of service are needed.
Step 2: Email to receive a"Position Request Form"
Step 3: If you have a specific individual in mind for this position, please list their name
where asked at the bottom of page one on the Position Request Form
Step 4: Email completed Position Request Form to NAMB Canada Region
Alternate: Fax or mail to CNBC, Attn: MSC (info listed at the bottom of this screen)
NOTE: If you have not received confirmation of receipt within one week,
please call 1-888-442-2272, ext 112 (Canada only) or 1-403-932-5688, ext 112
Step 5: If the local supervisor has not yet completed NAMB supervision training, ask the supervisor
to do so through e-quip.net. Session 1 Session 2 Session 3 Session 4 Session 5 Session 6
These sessions will enable the local supervisor to be familiar with the specific expectations
of MSC supervision.
Once all six sessions have been viewed, training is considered complete.
