Thank-you to churches and individuals who have given of their resources and time to meet the great needs of people living in Haiti following the earthquake of January 2010.

Projects Funded

CNBC, in partnership with Baptist Global Response, was able to respond to the massive destruction caused by the January 12 earthquake that hit Haiti.

CNBC was able to collect over $68,600 from Canadian churches & individuals, that contributed to a pool of resources which helped to implement various projects including over $200,000 in Food Buckets, over $6,000 in tents, over $500,000 in more than 250 transitional housing in various areas/ communities, as well as the following: 2000 beds, bedding & mosquito nets for orphans, school construction/ rehabilitation, seed dispersal to farmers, medical clinics, and more.

Baptist Global Response is grateful for the Canadian partnership in helping to show God's love for the suffering people of Haiti.

Although Haiti no longer dominates the mainstream media, the relief efforts continue in helping to rebuild people's lives.

Volunteer Teams

In addition to the BGR projects mentioned above, we have partnered with Baptist Global Response, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, and International Mission Board to send volunteers to assist on the ground.  While some volunteers received grants through the CNBC Canadians On Mission Offering, no "Haiti Relief" funds were used to deploy these volunteers.  Volunteers sent from CNBC churches to assist with the earthquake response in 2010 include:

1. Demolition & Temporary Shelter Team in partnership with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief

2. Ministry Team in partnership with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief
