COCHRANE—Annual Church Profile (ACP) time has come again. Why is it important for each CCSB church to respond? This profile provides a check up to see how we are doing as a family of churches in reaching the goals we believe God has led us to in the areas of Share, Start, Strengthen and Send.
For example, at our last convention a challenge was given to baptize 1000 people before the next convention. Without your statistics we will have no way to see if we have reached that goal. This report keeps us accountable to one another.
Each year we compile these statistics both for our own use and for LifeWay. This information not only helps us to determine ministry needs but in fact directly helps us, as LifeWay provides additional funding for special projects. In the past, such funds have been used to help sponsor OASIS, our annual retreat for ministry couples.
Attendance in the areas of worship and Sunday School, discipleship training, music ministry,
You may have a ministry that does not seem to fit in these categories. We do want to count your ministries and encourage you to “think outside the box” and include your numbers. For example: music ministry would include worship team, choirs, youth bands, etc; Vacation Bible School might include your summer Back-yard Bible Clubs, sports camps, etc; discipleship training would include small groups, home groups, a six week Beth Moore study, etc. One association has caught the vision and works with each church to assist them in completing their ACPs.
The pastor or designated leader within each church should have received an email as well as a letter with the Church ID number and password. If these items have not been received, please contact Brad Adams: badams@ccsb.ca.
Your church’s letter will explain how to fill out the ACP online. The whole process should take no longer than 30 to 60 minutes.
Each number represents someone’s story. Your partnership in filling in your ACP will assist us in being good stewards and making sure there are many more stories in the days ahead.
