Volunteers from Canadian Baptist Builders started to arrive on site July 8 2008 at Scarborough Baptist Church in Prince Albert, Sask. excited to find that the local congregation had already started by having the insulated concrete forms up and poured as well as having the cement floor finished.

"It was such a blessing to have the concrete work finished, as this is some of the hardest work for volunteers to do." Ken Ponath, volunteer coordinator for CBB, said when he arrived.

There has been great participation from the local people which is good for both the volunteers from out of town and the local people as they can share in the experience of serving our Lord together on a building project. Building friendships with brothers and sisters in the Lord.

"But even with the all the local volunteers we are still encouraging others to join CBB with this building project as we work together to better equip this church to fulfill their mandate as a New Testament Church"   Click here to see video of Scarborough Baptist Church

We will be working through until August 30 when we are scheduled to leave and hope to have the building in the dry but also to have the drywall installed and possibly finished, from there it will be up to the local congregation to finish the project"

Scarborough Baptist Church is very involved in helping other works in the area and CBB will be working together with them and Three Creeks Baptist Church from Arkansas to reshingle a roof at the Muskoday Baptist Church on the Muskoday Reserve during the first week in August.

Volunteers form Scarborough Baptist Church have helped with other building projects in the past with the most recent being the construction of First Baptist Church Grand Forks BC.
