For more then 25 years Southern Baptist volunteers have built chuches. In 1997 the North American Mission Board formed Baptist Builders. The biblical mandate found in Matthew 28:19-20 has been the motivation to go, reach, and disciple as we plant congregations for new believers.
We recongnize that most congregations need an adequate facility from which to worship God and reach the community. Baptist Builders helps congregations fulfill their mandate as New Testament churches by assisting them with construction needs.
In 2004 Canadian Baptist Builders was formed and has since helped complete churches/buildings across Canada. Projects range from first unit new construction to additions on existing buildings to renovations and remodeling of current space. It could be a storefront church, a house church, or a ministry centre.
Canadian Baptist Builders also assists communities struck by disaster. They help individuals, families, congregations, and communities in the long-term rebuilding and recovery process, which may last two years or more.
Canadian Baptist Builders includes anyone with a willing spirit and a heart to serve. You don't have to be an expert---there is something for everyone to do. We all learn together. Volunteers are involved in construction projects year round.
